Problematic Sexual Behavior in Children and Youth (PSB-CY)

PSB-CY is a 5-day course on children who exhibit or are impacted by problematic sexual behavior. This training is designed to provide an introductory understanding of normative and problematic sexual behavior in children (age 12 and under), the origins of problematic sexual behavior, myths/ misconceptions about the population, evidence-based assessment and treatment strategies for children who exhibit sexual behavior problems and how professionals can support children and families affected will be discussed. This course is for all Department of Defense Law Enforcement Officers, Investigators, Agents, Family Advocacy Program (FAP), Staff Judge Advocate (SJA), Public Affairs Office (PAO), Army Community Services (ACS) personnel in positions responsible for PSB-CY cases. The sole purpose is for all entities to come together in a trauma-informed manner on behalf of all the children and families involved. This course is open to all services MCIOs and FAP personnel. This course is taught as a residence course at Ft. Leonard Wood, MO and is funded through DoD FAP funding.
