Phase 1 (DL) Scope: This phase will provide effective student training. It will be student-centered, performance-based, incorporate practical exercises covering all critical elements of performance, enforce student remedial training, and provide performance-based student evaluation which establishes learning objective mastery with feedback Special Information: The completion of Chemical Defense Training Facility training is a requirement for graduation. Completion of the Chemical Defense Training Facility training may be waived for temporary medical cause. Only the Commandant (CMDT) is authorized to waive POI requirements for the Chemical Defense Training Facility (CDTF). All students attending the course must bring their medical records to Fort Leonard Wood. Personnel required to wear optical inserts, IAW AR 40-63, must bring two sets to Fort Leonard Wood. Soldiers may not attend with a profile that restricts the use and wear of Mission Oriented Protective Posture (MOPP) gear and the M40 series protective mask. NOTE: Students must register for each phase of this course individually; there is no auto-enrollment for this course .a. COURSE ACCESS.1. After receiving a valid ATRRS reservation, go to https://cbrn.wood.army.mil/ to self-enroll, and click on "Courses."2. Browse the course catalog at the bottom of course catalog box.3. Type "CBRN SPECIALIST" in the search box and click "search entire catalog," then press "enter."4. There will be a drop down arrow beside "CBRN Specialist Course Ph1" that says "Enroll." Self-enroll in class. 5. Students have 11 months to complete Phase I. As a reminder, students must complete Phases I-III within 36 months. b. PHASE I CREDIT.1. The USACBRN CBRN Specialist Course (RC) POC's listed below will monitor students' progress in Phase I. To complete Phase I, students receive a 70% or higher on each posttest to unlock each module, or the student can receive a 100% on each pretest and forgo course content.2. Weekly, the academic program of record (DTMS) will be updated to reflect students who have completed Phase I. This action will result in an update in ATRRS. Students whose ATRRS record is not updated within 30 days of completion may contact the POC's to inquire as to status.3. After completion of PHASE I DL you must complete HAZMAT Awareness Training on-line at http://totalforcevlc.golearnportal.org/ prior to PHASE II.

L031 (School Code for Reserve Soldiers) ATRRS Course Number: 031-74D10 (R1)Phase 2 Scope: This phase will provide effective student training. It will be student-centered, performance-based, incorporate practical exercises covering all critical elements of performance, enforce student remedial training, and provide performance-based student evaluation which establishes learning objective mastery with feedback.
Special Information: Completion of an Army Correspondence Course is not a basis for MOS Qualification (MOSQ). All IET Soldiers will attend the 494-74D10 course at the U.S. Army CBRN School to receive initial award of the 74D MOS. Transitioning Soldiers can attend the 494-74D10 course, or the 031-74D10 course at an accredited Reserve Component (RC) TASS School. Completion of training in the Chemical Defense Training Facility (CDTF) is a requirement for graduation. CDTF training may be waived for reasons of temporary medical restrictions or equipment fit or failure. The USACBRNS will recommend to Commander, U.S. Army Training Brigade that a waiver of training be approved for Initial Entry Training (IET) Soldiers who are unable to complete training due to any of these reasons. IET Soldiers who do not satisfactorily complete or who refuse to participate in CDTF training will be processed in accordance with current IET reclassification and elimination procedures. IAW TRADOC Reg 350-18, unit commanders will ensure all transitioning Soldiers (including walk-ons) enrolled in institutional training meet course prerequisites. Soldiers who don't have the PEC within the time allowed in TRADOC Reg 350-18, will be returned to their unit. NOTE: TRADOC Form 350-18-2-R-E (paper form) is obsolete only for reserve component schools; it is replaced by the ATRRS automated PEC. Documentary evidence of physical profile, and other non-routine prerequisites are required when reporting. A Soldier reporting without required documents will have 72 hours to provide them. (NOTE: If a phase of the course is presented in IDT mode, then Soldiers attending that phase will have until Saturday of the second Multiple Unit Training Assembly-4 to provide any required documents to attend that phase). Soldiers failing to provide required documents will be disenrolled and returned to their unit. Phase II Considerations (15-day Resident Instruction, CBRN School). a. Turn in PHASE I certificate and HAZMAT Awareness certificate upon in-processing. b. HT/WT will be conducted at 0500 on Day 1 of the course. Failures will be immediately dropped from the course; there will be no retests. Students are not authorized to attend the course on a temporary profile. c. Students should report with their DA Form 705 from their 30 day record APFT.
