The Fort Riley Freedom of Information and Privacy Act Office is responsible for the management of the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) & Privacy Act (PA) in accordance with 5 USC, and Public Law 106-554. Support for Survivors includes support groups, life skills education, connecting Survivors with counseling resources and assisting with needed resources including liaison with governmental and non-governmental agencies to support the survivor families. A financial counselor is available to provide financial planning assistance to address the specific needs of Surviving Families.
The Transition Assistance Program's mission is to provide pre-separation counseling, transition and employment assistance services to Active Duty, Guard, and Reserve Soldiers and Airmen, Department of Defense civilians who are considering or preparing to depart the military and all work age family members of each of the above groups.
The USO strengthens America’s military service members by keeping them connected to family, home and country, throughout their service to the nation. For over 77 years, the USO has been the nation’s leading organization to serve the men and women in the U.S. military, and their families, throughout their time in uniform. From the moment they join, through their assignments and deployments, and as they transition back to their communities, the USO is always by their side.
The Fort Riley Veterinary Treatment Facility (VTF) is professionally staffed by U.S. Army Veterinary Command Personnel. The VTF provides preventive medicine, vaccinations, sick call, and health certificates for both Interstate and International travel to animals by Active Duty and Retired DoD service members, and their dependents.

Voting Assistance Officers (VAOs) work to ensure that military and overseas voters understand their voting rights, how to register to vote absentee, and have access to accurate nonpartisan voting information and assistance. VAOs may be members of the Uniformed Services, civilians, or members of overseas U.S. citizen organizations.

Fort Riley regulation requires Soldiers to register all firearms brought on to the installation with their commanding officer. This includes Soldiers living off post, but who plan on bringing their firearms on post.
