Total Army Sponsorship Program (TASP)
IAW AR 600-8-8 the Total Army Sponsorship Program for the regular army is a system to help commanders exercise their basic responsibility for the successful reception and integration of Soldiers and Families into their unit, installation, facility, and community. Sponsorship is a commander’s program where success can be measured by the level of involvement by a Soldier’s chain of command and sponsors. All Soldiers in the grades E1-06 should request a sponsor. SFC, CW3, MAJ and above may opt out of the Sponsorship program.
