Detrick Military Retiree Council is to assist the Commander, U.S. Army Garrison (USAG) Fort Detrick and the Senior Commander, U.S. Army Medical Research and Development Command (USAMRDC) and Fort Detrick in meeting the objectives of the retirement program outlined in Chapter 4, AR 600-8-7. The retiree council aims at developing a strong communication link between the retired military community and the Active Army.
Council meetings are held on a quarterly basis and are open for all military retirees, their spouses, and widows/widowers to attend. The Council will discuss matters pertinent to retired military personnel and provide feedback as appropriate. The Military Retiree Council serves as a link between the Fort Detrick Leadership and the retired military community, family members, and surviving spouses.
