Chef Jeffrey Phillips, retired Army Major Gen. and Chef Instructor with The Colonel's Kitchen, goes over the basics of preparation and cooking with attendees from Fort Belvoir's Soldier Recovery Unit, June 17 at USO's Warrior and Family Center. The collaboration between SRU and Army Community Services helps transition them toward holistic recovery and successful reintegration of service members.

Col. David Stewart, USAG Fort Belvoir commander, noted that generations of Americans have answered the call to serve, often in times of uncertainty and always in service to something greater than themselves, during remarks at the Army's 251st birthday observance, June 10.
