Environmental Officer Training

The DPW Environmental Division, part of the Directorate of Public Works, is committed to environmental excellence in all aspects of the USAG Italy mission. The Environmental Division is responsible for management of air quality, water quality (drinking water, wastewater, and storm water), environmental restoration, hazardous materials, solid/hazardous waste, natural resources and cultural resources programs.

The USAG Italy Environmental Division ensures compliance with all environmental laws and regulations, and provides environmental expertise, guidance, support and liaison services for Army organizations and personnel. We are here to assist the USAG Italy community.

Environmental Officer Training

• Environmental Officers (EOs) throughout the Garrison are liaisons to the Environmental Division staff for maintaining compliance and coordinating environmental initiatives. EOs require online environmental awareness training and appointment orders from their supervisors. EOs' oversight and coordination are crucial for keeping their areas of responsibility in compliance with environmental laws and regulations. The Environmental Division manages the training, hosts regular meetings, and provides information about ongoing programs and initiatives to the Garrison’s EOs.
