Cultural Resources

The DPW Environmental Division, part of the Directorate of Public Works, is committed to environmental excellence in all aspects of the USAG Italy mission. The Environmental Division is responsible for management of air quality, water quality (drinking water, wastewater, and storm water), environmental restoration, hazardous materials, solid/hazardous waste, natural resources and cultural resources programs. 

Environmental Division Mission

The USAG Italy Environmental Division ensures compliance with all environmental laws and regulations, and provides environmental expertise, guidance, support and liaison services for Army organizations and personnel. We are here to assist the USAG Italy community.

Cultural Resources

• Portions of USAG Italy contain historical and cultural resources of importance. To protect these resources, the Environmental Division inventories historic and cultural resources, conducts environmental reviews of projects and coordinates with Host Nation authorities to establish measures to prevent adverse effects on known historic or cultural resources.
