Located in Cochise County, in southeast Arizona, about 15 miles north of the border with Mexico, Fort Huachuca is an Army installation with a rich frontier history. Established in 1877, the Fort was declared a national landmark in 1976.
The Relocation Readiness Program (RRP) eases the burden of moving with welcome packets, Newcomers' Orientation, the Lending Locker, Destination Classes for OCONUS assignments, desk-side Smooth Move briefs, Conversational English for foreign-born spouses and the Hearts Apart support group for geographically / deployed families.
RRP also offers a comprehensive support system to help you and your family make permanent change of station moves as smoothly as possible. The mission of RRP is to minimize the stress of relocation by offering skills and resources to Soldiers and families that will simplify the moving process throughout their military career.
