Garrison Commander Colonel Charles N. Moulton

Colonel Charles N. Moulton enlisted September 1989 and later commissioned May 1997 from the Reserve Officer Training Corps program at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, MA. Prior to his assignment as Garrison Commander to USAG Fort Buchanan, PR, he served as the Assistant Chief of Staff, G-3/5/7, 337th Theater Sustainment Command, with headquarters at New Orleans, LA.

Col. Moulton graduated from University of Massachusetts at Amherst, Maryland. He earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Hotel, Travel and Restaurant Administration. He is also holds a Masters’ Degree in Procurement and Acquisition from Webster University at Kansas City, Mo., and National Security and Strategic Studies from the U.S. Naval War College at Newport, RI.

His military education includes: the Quartermaster Officer Basic Course, Combined Logistics Captain’s Career Course, Combined Arms and Services Staff School, Command and General Staff College, Support Operations Course, Army Force Management Course, Antiterrorism Officer Course, Defense Support to Civilian Authorities Course, Advanced Joint Professional Military Education Course, Defense Strategy Course, and the U.S. Naval War College.

Colonel Moulton assignments include: Water Platoon Leader; Detachment Commander; Petroleum Platoon Leader; Petroleum Operations Officer; Company Commander; Security Plans and Operations Officer; Battalion Operations Officer; Support Operations Officer; 8A Force Integration Officer; Office of the Chief Army Reserve (OCAR) HQDA G-3/5/7 Liaison Officer; OCAR Current Plans Officer in the G-35; OCAR Chief, G-33, and Assistant Chief of Staff, 9th Mission Support Command. He served two combat tours, commanding a direct support quartermaster supply company and commanding a logistics task force, both in Iraq. He was also Battalion Commander, 7th Battalion, Army Reserve Careers Division, with headquarters at Marysville, WA. His assignments had him stationed in Italy, Germany, Iraq and Republic of Korea.

Colonel Moulton’s awards and decorations include the Bronze Star Medal, the Meritorious Service Medal with three Oak Leaf Clusters, the Army Commendation Medal with three Oak Leaf Clusters, the Army Achievement Medal with three Oak Leaf Clusters, and the Department of the Army Staff Badge.
