aRMY VOLUNTEER CORPS PROGRAM
The Army Volunteer Corps Program (AVCP) is designed to fully utilize and recognized the contributions of volunteers in the Fort Belvoir community. Its primary functions are to assist installation agencies who accept volunteers in meeting their needs and to help individuals find volunteer jobs that best suit their personal interest or career goals.
Volunteering helps your community and helps you as well. When you participate with AVCP, you’ll:
- Gain a sense of satisfaction/achievement by meeting challenges.
- Learn about the Army, our sister services, and the community.
- Acquire new skills and/or expand old ones.
- Obtain work experience.
- Build new friendships and become a cohesive part of the community.
Contact your local Army Volunteer Coordinator within your Army Community Service Center to register and learn about volunteer opportunities across the Army.
