Many Service members and retirees are seeking guidance from Fort Belvoir's Office of Staff Judge Advocate (SJA) on creating estate plans, making sure their affairs are in order and their final wishes are known to their family.
Fort Belvoir was intent on creating an informal setting to solicit input from teammates about any concerns or issues affecting them. At the heart of 'What's Poppin' is the core belief that every voice matters.
Fort Belvoir Fire and Emergency Services (FES) conducted a safety standdown at Fire Station 466, located on Davison Army Airfield, Dec. 18.
Fire Chief Kevin Good said the weekday standdown was focused on blending practical skills with problem solving-based activities that his teams regularly practice.
Winterfest, which began several years ago as a two-hour prelude to the tree lighting, has grown considerably, and like most Garrison Family activities, was moved to the parade field for its central location among several housing villages. One of the additional activities was Trees For Troops, which had donated more than 170 trees for military families to enjoy in their homes.
