Henry Drive from Smokey HIll Road to Ray Road detour
Anyone using Henry Drive to enter or exit the post will be detoured around Marshall Army Airfield. Drivers may want to consider alternate routes; the Grant St. Access Control Point has reopened to support traffic from west of post. One inbound lane at the Henry Access Control Point will also be closed during construction. This project should be completed in August.
Smoky Hill Road closed until early July
Smoky Hill Road, providing access to Marshall Army Airfield is closed for construction work until early July. Those accessing the airfield must use Ray Road.
Apennines Drive construction: June 3 - Oct. 30
Concrete repair and surface milling will be performed on Apennines Drive June 3 - Oct. 30. One lane will be closed at a time in the area of construction area. One lane will remain open for traffic. The construction area will vary in length to maintain access to roads, facility, and parking entrances.
Building 7054 parking lot entrance: June 26 - July 10
The south entrance to the parking lot will be closed for pavement replacement.
Building 7054/7212 parking lot entrances from July 7 - 10
The northeast entrance of the parking lot for building 7054 and the southeast entrance to building 7212 off of Normandy will be closed for pavement replacement.
Bullard Road closure: July 9 - 14
Bullard Street directly off of Normandy Drive will be closed for repavement.
Building 7173/7179 parking lot closure: July 9 - 14
The south entrance of the parking lot located west of Apennines, directly south of B7173 and east of B7179 will be closed for pavement replacement. Only one entrance to this parking lot will be closed at the same time.
Building 7305 parking lot closure : July 10 - 12
The northeast entrance of the north parking lot will be closed for pavement replacement. Access parking to the building can be found off of Kitty Drive in the motor pool west of building 7305 during the closure.
Siebert Road closure: July 14 - 16
Siebert Road will be closed near the intersection with Normandy for pavement replacement.
Parking lot closure: July 14 - 16
The north entrance of the parking lot locate directly south of building 7173 and east of building 7179 will be closed for pavement replacement. Only one entrance to this parking lot will be closed at the same time.
Building 7123A/7173 parking lot closure: July 16 - 19
The northeast entrance to the parking lot of building 7173 and the east entrance to building 7123A will be closed for pavement replacement.
The heat category chart is a visual aid to assist leaders in determining the correct work/rest ratio for their Soldiers in hot weather conditions.
Moreover, leaders are reminded to monitor their Soldiers for adequate water consumption whenever their soldiers are performing to hard work.

In accordance with U.S. Northern Command directive, Fort Riley has increased security measures across the installation. There is no specific threat to Fort Riley. This is a prudent measure to establish proactive actions to mitigate threats to the installation and protect personnel, assets, resources and infrastructure. Closures and Delays
The following scheduled road closures and expected traffic delays are due to ongoing infrastructure upgrades. Please allow more time in your travels or avoid these areas during these periods.
Beginning January 29 and expected to last about 6 weeks - Southbound traffic on Huebner Rd will be redirected to Northbound Huebner Rd. The intersection at Custer & McCormick will be a temporary 4-way stop during this time. This work is part of phase two for the bridge replacement on Huebner Rd.
Dec. 23, 2016 - Apr. 01, 2018: road construction will be near the intersection of Huebner and McCormick Roads, west of the Post Cemetery. Drivers should be alert for movement of trucks on and off the roadway. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will be overseeing construction of a replacement bridge and realignment of Huebner Road.
