TRAFFIC REPORT - ONGOING CLOSURES AND DELAYS
In accordance with U.S. Northern Command directive, Fort Riley has increased security measures across the installation. There is no specific threat to Fort Riley. This is a prudent measure to establish proactive actions to mitigate threats to the installation and protect personnel, assets, resources and infrastructure. Closures and Delays
The following scheduled road closures and expected traffic delays are due to ongoing infrastructure upgrades. Please allow more time in your travels or avoid these areas during these periods.
Beginning January 29 and expected to last about 6 weeks - Southbound traffic on Huebner Rd will be redirected to Northbound Huebner Rd. The intersection at Custer & McCormick will be a temporary 4-way stop during this time. This work is part of phase two for the bridge replacement on Huebner Rd.
Dec. 23, 2016 - Apr. 01, 2018: road construction will be near the intersection of Huebner and McCormick Roads, west of the Post Cemetery. Drivers should be alert for movement of trucks on and off the roadway. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will be overseeing construction of a replacement bridge and realignment of Huebner Road.
