Mark Colbrook
Mark Colbrook serves as the Deputy Garrison Commander (Acting) for U.S. Army Garrison Rheinland-Pfalz. He most recently served as the USAG Rheinland-Pfalz Deputy Garrison Manager in Baumholder.
He retired from the Army in September 2019 following a 27-year career as an aviation and military intelligence officer. His military assignments included overseas tours in South Korea and Germany as well as multiple combat deployments to Afghanistan, most recently from 2016-2017. He served at numerous locations in the United States to include Alabama, North Carolina, Arizona, Texas, Washington D.C., Kansas, Georgia, Pennsylvania, and Alaska.
His key assignments include Commander, B Company, 15th Military Intelligence Battalion (Aerial Exploitation), Fort Hood, TX; Commander, 224th Military Intelligence Battalion (Aerial Exploitation), Hunter Army Airfield, GA; Commander, USAG Bavaria, Germany; Commander Task Force ODIN, Afghanistan; Commander, Arctic Support Command (Provisional), Fort Wainwright, AK; and Deputy Commander – Sustainment, U.S. Army Alaska.
His awards and decorations include the Legion of Merit, Bronze Star Medal, Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Joint Service Achievement Medal, and Army Achievement Medal. He has a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Engineering from the United States Military Academy at West Point, a Master of Military Arts and Sciences from the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College, and a Master of Strategic Studies form the U.S. Army War College.
Colbrook is married and has two children.
