Estate Planning

Foreign Criminal Jurisdiction

The legal services office can liaise between USAG Rheinland-Pfalz military commands and/or authorized community members and German host-nation authorities to help resolve criminal and civil matters.

There is no Attorney-Client relationship in executing international affairs responsibilities.

Military Justice

The legal office provides military justice support to Commanders and senior Non-Commissioned Officers within USAG Rheinland-Pfalz; prosecutes Courts-Martial, assists victims, adjudicates adverse administrative actions, and provides preventative law instruction.

Typical actions processed by the Military Justice Section include:

  • Prosecuting violations of the Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ)
  • Assisting law enforcement throughout the criminal investigative process
  • Providing probable cause determinations for crimes committed by service members and civilians
  • Advising and assisting with adjudication of Non-Judicial Punishment
  • Drafting Letters of Reprimand
  • Representing the United States on Administrative Separation Boards
  • Representing the United States on Officer Elimination Boards
  • Representing the United States at Courts-Martial
  • Liaising between Commanders and civilian prosecutors

Special Victim Counsel

The mission of the Special Victim Counsel (SVC) Program is to provide legal representation to eligible clients who allege they are victims of a sex-related offenses. SVCs deliver exceptional legal representation and advice to victims of sexual assault. The goal of the SVCs is to empower clients through professional competency and zealous advocacy to ensure their interest and rights are recognized and protected throughout all proceedings.
