Rodney Harris
Rodney Harris serves as the interim Deputy Garrison Manager for U.S. Army Garrison Rheinland-Pfalz' Baumholder Military Community, where he is normally the Plans and Operations Officer, following his recent role as an Operations Officer and Site Manager for multiple Army Prepositioned Stock sites in USAG Benelux.
He retired from the United States Army in February 2020 after 31 years of service as an Aviation Maintenance and Logistics Professional, completing overseas tours in Germany, Italy, and Bosnia-Herzegovina, alongside stateside tours in Georgia, New York, Kentucky, Texas, and Hawaii. His operational deployments include Operation Iraqi Freedom I and Operation Enduring Freedom XII, with key senior leadership assignments including Brigade Command Sergeant Major for the 25th Combat Aviation Brigade, Battalion Command Sergeant Major for 5th Battalion, 101st Aviation Regiment, Support Operation Sergeant Major and Operations Sergeant Major for the 10th Combat Aviation Brigade, and Observer, Coach, and Trainer for the Falcon Team at the Joint Multinational Readiness Center.
His military decorations include the Legion of Merit, Bronze Star Medal (1 OLC), Meritorious Service Medal (4 OLC), Air Medal (2), Combat Action Badge, Master Aviation Badge, Air Assault Badge, and the Gold Recruiting Badge, and he holds a Bachelor of Science in Liberal Arts from Excelsior College.
