The Fort Meade Army Education Center provides adult education opportunities to Soldiers and other services members, Adult Family Members, Retirees and Department of Defense Civilians. Services include Educational Counseling, Army Personnel Testing (APT), Functional Academic Skills Training (FAST), Multi-Use Learning Facility (MLF), and On-post undergraduate and graduate college programs.

ACES HUB VIRTUAL EDUCATION SERVICES AVAILABLE
Part of ACES responsibilities includes the operation of the Education Center, the Basic Skills Education Program (BSEP), the Learning Center, and the Testing Center. Here at Fort Meade, we are part of what is called the Fort Myer Hub. The Hub concept incorporates the operations of ACES at Fort Myer, Fort Meade, and Fort Belvoir.

Counselors are available to discuss Educational Counseling, In/Out Processing (includes retirement/ETS/PCS/and Pre-separation counseling: A copy of your orders and clearing papers are required for clearing the education center), Tuition Assistance, ArmyIgnitED portal, VA Benefits, JST (Joint Service Transcript) Evaluation process, discuss Financial Aid, Tuition Recoupment, CLEP & DSST, GRE, GMAT, and provide education briefings.
Fort Meade Army Personnel Testing center
Army Personnel Tests administered include: Defense Language Proficiency Test (DLPT), Armed Forces Classification Test (AFCT), Pre-GT, Test of Adult Basic Education (TABE), and Oral Proficiency Interview (OPI).

Basic Skills Education Program (BSEP)The BSEP class provides Soldiers with on-duty instruction in reading, math and language skills. The goal is to strengthen academic skills, improve job performance and increase reenlistment options. Classes are being held virtually and are offered at various times throughout the year.
