MISSION

The Operations and Maintenance Division (OMD) mission is the maintenance and repair of Fort Knox’s Facilities and infrastructure: water system, wastewater treatment system, and gas system.

This mission is accomplished with both civilian and contract workforce.  The operation and maintenance portion of the Facility Maintenance Contract is administered within the OMD.  This includes the Contracting Officers Representative (COR) and the Quality Assurance Evaluation (QAE) Team.  The gas utility branch is the civilian workforce.

Work is identified to the OMD through the DPW work reception office, located on the 3rd floor of bldg.. 1110.  The typical procedure is for the customer to email (usarmy.knox.id-training.mbx.dpw-work-orders@mail.mil) a demand maintenance order (DMO) to the DPW work reception office.  The DMO is then sent to the appropriate shop for action.  The DMO receives a priority for the time standards for work to be accomplished.  In an emergency, the telephone number is (502) 888-5835.  Our goal is to meet or exceed these standards.  However, due to workload or other circumstances the standards are not always met.  Click here to view our priorities and the associated time standards.
