The Directorate of Emergency Services plans, directs and provides law and order, fire and emergency services, and protection operations in support of Fort Detrick and Forest Glen Annex in order to provide a safe and secure environment for our employees and active duty with their families that work, live, or visit the installations. The Directorate is made up of the Provost Marshal Office, Fire and Emergency Services, and the Protection Division.
The Provost Marshal Office is a professionally trained, positive, community customer focused Army law enforcement and access control organization that is responsive to the needs of not only the commander but the civilian community. Committed to maintain good order & discipline, safety & security for all those who live and or work on Fort Detrick.
Fort Detrick Fire and Emergency Services
The Fort Detrick Fire and Emergency Services Division of DES is made up of highly skilled and professional emergency response teams capable of providing emergency medical, hazardous material, fire rescue, fire suppression and consequence management to mitigate the effects of both natural and man-made disasters.
The Protection Division safeguards Fort Detrick and Forest Glen by rigorously implementing the Army Protection Program, synchronizing antiterrorism, physical security, and emergency management to protect personnel and enable mission readiness in all threat environments.
