Services

Singing Up for an APO Box

For new service, please fill out DA Form 3955 using an email address you check daily. APO personnel will send you an email with your new address. You will receive an email when the APO receives mail for you. Promptly advise the APO of any temporary or permanent changes in your status, such as TDY or PCS changes.

Outbound Mail Size Limit

Length x 2 + Width x 2 + Height x 2 cannot exceed 130 inches, and weight cannot exceed 70 pounds.

Shipping Timeline

It takes approximately two to four weeks for mail to get from Europe to the U.S. 

Acceptable Payment Methods

The APO accepts credit or debit cards, no cash.

Authorized Individuals 

You can authorize someone else to pick up your mail using PS Form 3801. This form is available at the Post Office. 

Mail Storage

Mail is held for 30 days before it is returned to sender. To hold your mail for more than 30 days, please fill out DD Form 2258, which is available at the post office.
