SOFA Status

THE INTERNATIONAL LAW SECTION PROVIDES SOFA CERTIFICATION AND CANCELLATION LETTERS FOR U.S. ARMY SOLDIERS, ARMY CIVILIAN EMPLOYEES, ARMY CONTRACTORS, AND THEIR FAMILY MEMBERS ASSIGNED TO OKINAWA, JAPAN.  TO REQUEST FOR CERTIFICATION OR CANCELLATION LETTER, PLEASE SUBMIT ALL REQUIRED SUPPORTING DOCUMENTS TO THE INTERNATIONAL LAW SECTION.

Private Employment

SOLDIERS, U.S. CIVILIAN EMPLOYEE, AND FAMILY MEMBERS IN JAPAN MUST OBTAIN COMMAND APPROVAL BEFORE ENGAGING IN PRIVATE EMPLOYMENT OR PRIVATE COMMERCIAL ACTIVITY.
