DPFR is a hybrid organization that combines all programs and services typically found within Directorate of Human Resources (DHR) and Army Community Service (ACS) for the Army and Force Support Squadron (FSS) and Airman and Family Readiness Center (A&FRC) for the Air Force. The Hawk Career Center on Lewis North is a one-stop shop for service members transitioning from military to civilian life, as well as military spouses and other DOD ID cardholders seeking employment readiness and support services. The facility houses the JBLM SFL-TAP Program, the DPFR Employment Readiness Program, Career Choice Financial Counseling, and information and referral services. Also on site is the WorkSource JBLM office, a partnership of state and local government agencies, colleges and non-profit organizations that offer employment services for job seekers and businesses.
