The mission of U.S. Army Garrison Japan, Directorate of Human Resources, Military Personnel Division, Casualty Assistance Center is to assist and support families in an emotionally stressful time of bereavement, as well as provide training and resources to all Soldiers serving in Casualty Notification or assistance capacity, and to those dedicated professionals assisting Family members in their greatest time of need.
Our mission is to ensure enrollment in the Defense Enrollment Eligibility Reporting System (DEERS), and provide Common Access Cards (CAC) and/or Official Identification Cards to Soldiers, Family members, Retirees as well as Civilian and Contract Employees.
Our mission is to support the U.S. Department of Defense by assisting DOD service members, civilians and family members in obtaining the official travel documents necessary to facilitate official government travel.
To provide support to all Permanent Party and Trainee/Student Soldiers in the following areas; Permanent Change of Station, Temporary Change of Station, Foreign Language Proficiency Bonus, Special Duty Pay, Stabilization, Deletion/Deferment requests, and No-Fee Passports.
The Soldier Action Team provides support to Soldiers when processing actions such as early return of dependents, command sponsorship, family travel, foreign language proficiency bonus; consecutive overseas tour leave, student travel, etc.
The TASP is a Commander’s Program designed to enhance resiliency among Soldiers and Family members, and to ensure you receive the services needed to transition successfully in and out of Commands.
The mission of the Transition Assistance Program is to deliver a world-class transition program for America’s Army that empowers members to make informed career decisions that enhances lives, communities and our nation. This program enables Soldiers to capitalize on their Army experience and skills. Soldiers make informed decisions using transition program services and re-enlistment may be a viable option. It is all about making informed decisions – setting Soldiers up for success.
