8/28/20, 11:19 AM 8/28/20, 11:19 AM Library Curbside Service Thomas Lee Hall Library, 4679 Lee Road, will open for curbside service from noon to 5 p.m. Tuesday to Saturday. It is closed on Sunday, Monday and holidays. To request service visit the online catalog at: http://mwrlibrary.armybiznet.com/search~S30 to process requests. Unfortunately, staff will not be able to place requests over the phone. Requests must be made by midnight the day before the requested pick up day. Patrons have 7 days to pick-up items before the request expires and material is offered to the next patron in line. The requests are limited to 20 items per day and patrons must arrive no later than 4:45 p.m. for pick-up.

Please visit the dedicated site... https://usachcs.tradoc.army.mil/day-of-remembrance/ to join the Fort Jackson Community as we observe the 2021 Days of Remembrance and Holocaust Remembrance Day by learning about the Holocaust, honoring the 6 million Jews whose lives were brutally and prematurely ended during WWII, and stressing the importance of recognizing and combating antisemitism, hatred, and intolerance everywhere. The U.S. Congress established Days of Remembrance as the nation's annual commemoration of the Holocaust. Public Law 96-388 established the United States Holocaust Memorial Council and authorizes the actions of the council. Each year the President of the United States also issues a Presidential Proclamation for the observance. Our chosen theme for this year's observance is... "Be the Light in the Darkness."

A 10-digit dialed telephone call requires entering both the three-digit area code and the seven-digit telephone number to complete the call, even if the area code is the same area code as your own, this now includes Fort Jackson to Fort Jackson calls. This is similar to making any call via cell phone.

4/6/21, 11:19 AM 4/6/21, 11:19 AM Vaccine update Moncrief Army Health Clinic will resume its COVID-19 vaccine operation Saturday, April 10. This operation will take place from 8 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. on that day. Again, the vaccine remains open for all eligible beneficiaries ages 16 and older. Individuals in this age group should call (803) 751-9000, to schedule a COVID-19 vaccine appointment.
Scheduling your vaccine appointments just got a little easier, as you can now schedule them online by clicking on https://informatics-stage.health.mil/COVAX/.

Here’s how it works:
1) Click on the link: https://informatics-stage.health.mil/COVAX/.
2) Locate the individual state and military installation.
3) Search for the actual clinics that offer the vaccine on that installation.
4) Schedule your appointment.
The vaccine will be administered at the Solomon Activity Center at Fort Jackson. Walk-ins are also accepted.
2/10/22, 3:32 PM 2/10/22, 3:32 PM Moncrief Vaccination Update Moncrief Army Health Clinic has resumed Pfizer Covid-19 vaccine administration for 1st, 2nd and booster doses for service members and beneficiaries.

Appointments can be scheduled at the Integrated Health Medical Home "Immunizations" by calling 1-803-751-CARE (2273).

The Solomon Center will be open for walk-ins on February 11 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. (last dose administered at 12:45 p.m.)

Current eligibility:

A single booster dose of Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine under EUA is recommended for individuals 18 years of age and older:

- 5 months after completion of Moderna

- 5 months after completion of WHO-EUL approved primary series

- 2 months after completion of the Johnson & Johnson/Janssen shot


Individuals 12-17 years of age may receive a single Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine booster dose at least 5 months after the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine primary series.

Strom Thurmond/Forest Drive will have the right hand lane closed on 24, 25, and 28 Jan from 8 - 10 a.m. each day to drop materials for a COMET bus stop

1/27/22, 1:36 PM 1/27/22, 1:36 PM Lifeguard Training - Feb. 18-20 Knight Indoor Pool. The American Red Cross is holding a three-day lifeguard training course Feb. 18-20. The class hours are 4-7 p.m. Feb. 18, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Feb. 19, and 1-7 p.m. Feb. 20. Attendees must be at least 15 years old; can swim 300 yards continuously; tread water for two minutes without using arms; and must be able to retrieve a 10-kilogram brick from 7-12 feet of water within 1:40. All courses are blended learning requiring the completion of online learning prior to the first day of class. The course costs $160 for authorized patrons and $200 for non-authorized patrons. The costs for recertification are: $80 for authorized patrons and $100 for non-authorized patrons. Refunds are not authorized for failing to meet the pre-requisites or any portion of the course. The town hall is part of an ongoing effort to improve the face-to-face communication between leadership and residents. Some issues that will be focused on are lawn maintenance, handicap accessible areas, pest control and parking.

5/13/22, 8:58 AM 5/13/22, 8:58 AM Full Scale Exercise Guests coming to Fort Jackson May 18 should expect longer wait times at installation activities due to a joint emergency training operation. Be advised that no one will be in immediate danger. The exercise is something the Army does periodically to ensure our people know the crisis actions steps to keep people safe. There will be increased activity of emergency response vehicles across post as the installation holds a force protection exercise involving numerous simulated casualties. We ask all guests to be patient and follow all traffic signs and lights, and commands from first responders and a voice broadcast system.
