Days of Remembrance virtual observance |
The U.S. Army Chaplain Center and School’s is hosting a virtual observance for Days of Remembrance and Holocaust Remembrance Day. Please visit the dedicated site... https://usachcs.tradoc.army.mil/day-of-remembrance/ to join the Fort Jackson Community as we observe the 2021 Days of Remembrance and Holocaust Remembrance Day by learning about the Holocaust, honoring the 6 million Jews whose lives were brutally and prematurely ended during WWII, and stressing the importance of recognizing and combating antisemitism, hatred, and intolerance everywhere. The U.S. Congress established Days of Remembrance as the nation's annual commemoration of the Holocaust. Public Law 96-388 established the United States Holocaust Memorial Council and authorizes the actions of the council. Each year the President of the United States also issues a Presidential Proclamation for the observance. Our chosen theme for this year's observance is... "Be the Light in the Darkness."
