“My mom, dad and brother influenced me to join the Army. My dad did three tours in Iraq, earning a Purple Heart and a Bronze Star. My brother graduated Basic Combat Training as the Soldier Leader of the Cycle.”
“I imagined that BCT would be tough and it has basically been as I expected.”
“Being away from Family has been the most challenging part of BCT. Getting smoked is easy, getting smoked and not going home to your Family is the hard part.”
Advice I would give to a new trainee is, “Prepare yourself physically. Being in the best shape of your life will make BCT so much easier. Don’t get too caught up in the stupid stuff. It’ll pass.”
“My MOS is 13F – Joint Fire Support Specialist. I want to rain Hell from above. Later in my career, I want to get Joint Terminal Attack Controller certified so I can call my own airstrikes. Serving in the 75th Ranger Regiment is my goal and this MOS was the most interesting.”
