“I enlisted in the Army to jump start a federal career and add military experience” so I can join the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
Before I joined, I thought Basic Combat Training would be “hardcore and full of training.”
“The most challenging part of BCT was the ruck marches due to the weight and distance we traveled.”
I would advise those about to start BCT to “remain yourself, stay focused, remember why you joined, isolate yourself when you need to and to conduct mental health checks.”
My MOS is “31E-Corrections/Detention Specialist. My civilian job as a correctional officer made me fall in love with law enforcement.”
