“Since I was little, I’ve always wanted to join the Army. I knew that joining the Army would help me become a better person physically and mentally.”
“I imagine Basic Combat Training would be like in the movies. I thought it was going to be really bad, where no one would care about you, a place where you wouldn’t have fun, and suffer all day and night physically, mentally and emotionally.”
“The most challenging part of BCT was waking up in the morning. Opening your eyes and not knowing if it was going to be a good day or a bad day, trying to motivate myself to get ready for a new day full of unexpected things, but also potential exciting adventures.”
Some advice I would give is to “do the right thing. Never hesitate to ask questions, follow the rules and most important – don’t quit.”
My MOS is “92A-Automated Logistics Specialist. I thought this was a good idea to start with a support MOS to learn the ways of the Army Reserve, and then later change to active duty and get a monetary-related MOS.”
