This new phonebook fulfills a promise made more than two years ago. It searches, it browses, it synchs with a new Service Data Box.
You can use a spreadsheet to update the entire directory, and it should be available now in your Blocks.
The new directory takes advantage of a concrete5 tool called Express. This makes a relational database within your site that allows you to use information in many places. This means you will be entering your information via the Dashboard, not on the page.
We haven't set a date when you must complete your migration to the new phonebook, but eventually we will be asking you hang up your Phone Alpha, Advanced Phonebook Pro Plus, or whaever else you are using for your directory, and join the party line.
