WSMR Leadership hosted congressional staffers at Trinity Site

White Sands Missile Range leadership hosted and toured congressional staffers from the House Science, Space, and Technology Committee at Trinity Site in an ongoing effort to maintain working relationships with Washington, D.C.

WSMR Museum Curator Darren Court opened the visit with a presentation covering the history of Trinity Site, and how the installation became the birthplace for space in the United States. WSMR Commander Col. George C. Turner, WSMR Command Sgt. Maj. Michael S. Cordery, and WSMR Executive Director Vincent M. Liddiard spoke to the staffers about the importance of testing in Army modernization priorities, investing in quality of life to maintain readiness, and keeping recruiting a top priority as WSMR faces an aging workforce.
