May is Mental Health Month and the WSMR ASAP Team is celebrating the awareness of this month by bringing attention to mental health and how essential it is to our overall health and wellbeing by hosting several events.

Manage stress and wellbeing through YOGA, Complete a self-assessment,
massage chair available
WHEN:
YOGA - 16 MAY- 10:00 a.m., every 3rd Tuesday of the month.
Self-Assessment Screening - 17 MAY- 9:30 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.
A screening only takes a few minutes, and after you are finished you will be given information about the next steps you should take based on your results. A screening is not a diagnosis, but it can be a helpful tool for starting a conversation with your doctor or a loved one about your mental health. Please bring your CAC.

WHY:
Mental health includes our emotional, psychological, and social well-being. It affects how we think, feel, and act. It also helps determine how we handle stress, relate to others, and make healthy choices.
According to John Hopkins Medicine, YOGA improves and helps in the following areas.
- Strength, balance, and flexibility.
- Back pain relief.
- Ease arthritis symptoms.
- Improving sleep
- Higher energy and better moods.
- Stress management
- Promotes better self-care.
Screening tool has the following options to help identify signs of:
- Depression
- Anxiety
- Bipolar disorder
- PTSD
- Alcohol / substance use problems
- Psychosis
- Eating disorders
