U.S. Navy Sailor and former WSMR student Re-Enlists Aboard the Gunston Hall

Gunston Hall (LSD 44) is part of the Kearsarge Amphibious Ready Group and embarked 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit, under the command and control of Task Force 61/2, on a scheduled deployment in the U.S. Naval Forces Europe area of operations, employed by U.S. Sixth Fleet, to defend U.S. allied and partner interests. Lopez grew up at WSMR attending daycare starting at age two. She attended WSMR Elementary and Middle School and graduated from Mayfield High School in 2020. She joined the Navy during her Senior year of high school and was assigned the USS Gunston Hall (LSD44).
