Sandra Class, the Army Substance Abuse Program Manager, is retiring after over 42 years of federal service.
Sandra started her journey at White Sands Missile Range as a Soldier with the U.S. Army before becoming a civilian employee.
She worked for Visual Information before moving on to Public Affairs after which she moved on to the Army Substance Abuse Program.
Under her direction, the U.S. Army Garrison White Sands Missile Range was named a 2020-2021 Department of Defense Suicide Prevention Recognition Recipient for the Army in recognition of their Suicide Prevention efforts.
Her family held a retirement ceremony for her on Oct. 23 at the Cox Range Control Center, where WSMR Commander Brig. Gen. Eric Little and Fred Hankerson, Deputy Garrison Commander, presented her with command coins.
There will be a final opportunity for all to bid Sandra farewell on Oct. 26 from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the PDC, Room 132.
