The White Sands Missile Range community came together at the March 9 Retirement and Honors Ceremony to recognize John Robles and Timothy L. Wilkins for their service and career.

Employees recognized at Retirement and Honors Ceremony

The White Sands Missile Range community came together at the March 9 Retirement and Honors Ceremony to recognize John Robles and Timothy L. Wilkins for their service and career.

WSMR Commander Brig. Gen. Eric Little and Command Sgt. Maj. Jose Melendez presented Robles with the Length of Service award for 17 years of loyal service. He also received a certificate of appreciation and a certificate of retirement.

Robles was also awarded the Civilian Service Commendation Medal for a career spanning over 17 years culminating as a Conservation Law Enforcement Officer with the Directorate of Emergency Services. He is credited with teaching, leading, coaching, and mentoring numerous law enforcement officers and supporting the Garrison Commander’s hunting program.

His wife, Victoria Robles, was also honored for her contribution and support of her husband with a certificate of appreciation.

Little and Melendez presented Wilkins a Length of Service award for 23 years of service. He also received a Certificate of Appreciation and a Certificate of Retirement.

Robles was awarded the Civilian Service Commendation Medal for 23 years of service culminating as an Emergency Services Dispatcher with the Directorate of Emergency Services. He served as a security guard, and training officer.

His wife, Donna K. Hamblin-Wilkins was also recognized for her contribution and support of her husband with a certificate of appreciation.

Several White Sands Missile Range employees were recognized for their loyal service to the U.S. Government and received a certificate and pin for their milestone.

The following individuals were recognized for 30 years of services: Cynthia Grooms, Keith Luntz, Jason Schlie and Nemesio Velazco.

Bobbie Salas was recognized for 40 years of service.

Senior Airman Sydney Thomas was recognized for volunteering his time and for community service.

Loretta Darrenkamp was awarded a Public Service Commendation Medal for her service to the U.S. Army Garrison.

The following individuals received a Commander’s Coin for Excellence: Lewis Evans, Dan Griego, Josetta Leyva, Olivia McBride, Joe Marrufo, Casey Masterson, Humberto Mendoza for Dr. Oscar Perez, Nhien Tran and Spc. Jerome Bautista.

Wendi Cox received a Certificate of Achievement in recognition of exceptional achievement while serving as the Integrated Personnel and Pay System-Army Action Officer for White Sands Test Center.

Also recognized were Adrian Guerrero, in recognition of outstanding achievement while serving as a Human Resource Specialist (Military) Directorate of Human Resources at WSMR, and Matthew Loya, in recognition of exceptional performance when responding to a request for assistance from the 49th Security Forces Squadron at Holloman Air Force Base in investigating a major crash with major injuries.

The following Civilian Employees were recognized for their service and performance with a Civilian Service Achievement Medal: Marissa Bowse, Sandra Class, and Edward Stahl.

Also recognized were Mike Edmonston, Caitlin McCarty, Todd Kelley, Billy Rodriguez,  Emerson Armendariz, Saul Armendariz, Robert Mach, Robert Ortega, Andres Ruvalcaba, Jon Darrenkamp, and Heidi Fields.

Tristan Gilbert was awarded the Civilian Service Commendation Medal as a result of his exemplary service while serving as the Acting Technical Director and Deputy to the Commander White Sands Test Center.

The Army Achievement Medal was presented to Cpl. MacGregor Anderson and Spc. Christian Rodriguez Prado.

The following individuals received the Army Commendation Medal: Maj. Kevin B. Mucher, 1 Lt. Samantha G. Stine, Sgt. 1st Class Kristopher D. Norville, Sgt. Willie L. Gray III, Sgt. Mark E. Hubbard III, Spc. Luke M. Rhue and Senior Airman Sydney E. Thomas.
