Brig. Gen. Bradley Leonard, MSCoE and Fort Leonard Wood Deputy Commanding General

Brig. Gen. Bradley Leonard received his commission in 1997 as an ordnance officer upon graduating from the College of the Ozarks with a Bachelor of Science in Agribusiness. He is a graduate of multiple military and civilian schools to include a Master of Administrative Studies from Missouri State University, and a Master of Strategic Studies from the United States Army War College.

Leonard has held a variety of leadership and staff positions throughout his career- initially serving as a Platoon Leader for the 264th Corps Support Battalion at Fort Liberty, NC. While in North Carolina he would also serve as a Maintenance Control Officer for the 7th Transportation Battalion and the Executive Officer for the 507th Corps Support Group. He later transitioned to Joplin, MO where he served as the Battalion S6 for the 203rd Engineer Battalion. He deployed with the 203rd Engineer Battalion as the Battalion Maintenance Officer in Baghdad, Iraq. Brigadier General Leonard returned to Joplin, Missouri and served as the Battalion Maintenance Officer and twice as Company Commander for the 203rd Engineer Battalion. Upon completing command time, he would deploy as the Operations Officer with the Missouri Agribusiness Development Team, 173rd in Jalalabad, Afghanistan. He returned to Fort Leonard Wood and served as the Brigade S4 for the 35th Engineer Brigade and the Regimental S3/Operations Officer for the 140th Regiment. He returned to the 203rd Engineer Battalion and served as the S3, later transitioning to the 35th Infantry Division in Fort Leavenworth, KS as a Division Engineer. He then served as Brigade S3 and Brigade S3/DCO for the 110th Maneuver Enhancement Brigade located in KC. He then took command of the 203rd Engineer Battalion for 2 years and then transitioned to Deputy J5 and J5 for the JFHQ-MO in Jefferson City, MO. He then served as the Brigade Commander for the 110th Maneuver Enhancement Brigade located in KC, and deployed with them to Fort Bliss, TX for the Southwest Border Mission. He then served as the Chief of Staff for the Missouri National Guard, Joint-Force Headquarters, in Jefferson City, MO.

He holds several personal and unit awards and decorations to include the Legion of Merit Medal, Bronze Star Medal, Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal (2 Bronze Oak Leaf Clusters), Army Commendation Medal (3 Bronze Oak Leaf Clusters), Army Achievement Medal (3 Bronze Oak Leaf Clusters), Army Reserve Component Achievement Medal with Silver Oak Leaf Cluster, National Defense Service Medal with Bronze Star, Afghanistan Campaign Medal with Campaign Star, Iraq Campaign Medal with 2 Campaign Stars, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Armed Forces Service Medal, Humanitarian Service Medal, Armed Forces Reserve Medal (with Bronze Hourglass and "M" device), NCO Professional Development Ribbon, Army Service Ribbon, Armed Forces Reserve Mobilization Medal (with Numeral 2), Army Reserve Component Overseas Training Ribbon, and the NATO Medal.
