Command Sgt. Major Danny Castleberry

CSM Danny Castleberry entered the Army as a Combat Engineer (12B) in June 1998, attending One Station Unit Training at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri.

His assignments include: A Company 4th Engineer Battalion, Fort Carson, Colorado; B Company 37th Engineer Battalion, Fort Bragg (known as Fort Liberty since 2023), North Carolina; 67th Engineer Detachment (Mine Detection Dogs), Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri; HHC 577th Engineer Battalion, Sapper Leader Course, Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri; 511th Engineer Company, 326th Engineer Battalion, Fort Campbell, Kentucky; 305th Quartermaster Company, 101st Sustainment Brigade, Fort Campbell, Kentucky; 591st Engineer Company, 326th Engineer Battalion, Fort Campbell, Kentucky; A Company 3rd Brigade Special Troops Battalion, Fort Bragg, North Carolina; 57th Engineer Company, 27th Engineer Battalion, Fort Bragg, North Carolina; HHC 20th Engineer Brigade, Fort Bragg, North Carolina; National Training Center (Sidewinder), Fort Irwin, California; HHBN, 1st Cavalry Division, Fort Hood (known as Fort Cavazos since 2023), Texas; 91st Engineer Battalion, 1st Armored Brigade Combat Team, Fort Hood, Texas; 5th Battalion, 1st Security Forces Assistance Brigade, Fort Benning (known as Fort Moore since 2023), Georgia; and the Directorate of Training and Leader Development, United States Army Engineer School, Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri.  He has served in all leadership positions from Team Leader through Command Sergeant Major.

CSM Castleberry’s military education includes THE Sapper Leader Course, Basic and Advanced Airborne School, Basic Leader Course, Air Assault School, Pathfinder School, Advanced Leader Course, Summer and Winter Mountain Warfare School, Ranger School, Senior Leader Course, Sergeant’s Major Course Class 67, and the Combat Advisor Training Course. CSM Castleberry holds an Associate Degree in General Studies from Central Texas College and a Bachelor of Arts in Organizational Management from the University of Arizona Global Campus.
