Mr. Travis R. Mobley
Deputy to the Garrison Commander
Travis Mobley was appointed as the Deputy to the Garrison Commander in August 2021 following an extensive career in installation management. As the Deputy to the Garrison Commander, Mr. Mobley serves as the senior civilian advisor to the Garrison Commander regarding city management functions to include, but not limited to, public works, housing, airfield operations, training, childcare, recreational activities, emergency services, human resources, and government relations.
Mr. Mobley began his civilian service in the Department of the Army in 2003 as a human resources intern following his graduation from Georgia Southern University. During his career, he has served in various positions of responsibility with assignments in human resources, performance measurement, strategic planning, and executive management for installation activities at Fort Stewart, Georgia.
As a careerist in installation management, Mr. Mobley is honored to be a member of an unprecedented seven-time recipient of the distinguished Army Community of Excellence Award presented to Fort Stewart/Hunter Army Airfield. In addition, he has led partnerships with various municipal governments and educational institutions resulting in support agreements for installation services, further extending the partnerships between the installation and community stakeholders.
