Survivor Outreach Services (SOS)
Fort Stewart/Hunter Army Airfield Survivor Outreach Services provides information, referral, education, and advocacy services related to Survivor benefits and entitlements, as well as information about local and national resources for grief and support.
Support Coordinators are the Surviving Families link to finding resources and answers that work best for them. They can assist Survivors to obtain copies of documents, navigate local, state, and federal agencies. They can connect Survivors with local and national support groups and bereavement resources. They also provide information and referral on a wide range of other topics.
Financial Counselors provide assistance to Surviving Families by providing education and advocacy in basic money management, credit management, investment and estate planning education.
