COL Kevin D. Bradley Deputy Commander - Support
COL Kevin D. Bradley commissioned a Second Lieutenant of Armor in 1999 from the United States Military Academy at West Point, New York. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering from the Unites States Military Academy, a Master’s in Public Policy Management from Georgetown University, and a PhD in Political Science from Louisiana State University through the Army’s Goodpaster Scholars Program.
COL Bradley’s first assignment was with 1st Battalion, 63d Armor Regiment, 1st Infantry Division from 2000-2003 where he served as a Platoon Leader in Kosovo as part of KFOR 1B. He also served as a Tank Platoon Leader, Tank Company Executive Officer, and Support Platoon Leader upon return to Vilseck, Germany. Following the Infantry Officer Advanced Course, COL Bradley was assigned to 3d Brigade, 1st Cavalry Division at Fort Hood, Texas from 2003-2007. Deploying to Iraq as part of Operation Iraqi Freedom II in 2004, COL Bradley served as the Brigade’s Senior Advisor to the 302d Iraqi Army Battalion operating on Haifa Street, Baghdad. COL Bradley deployed to Iraq again in 2006 during the Surge as the commander of Cold Steel Troop, 6th Squadron, 9th Cavalry Regiment during combat operations in the Diyala province of Iraq. After command, COL Bradley joined the Joint Staff Intern Program in Washington, D.C. from 2008-2011, serving in the Office of the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Public Affairs and as a Legislative Liaison to the U.S. House of Representatives.
Following completion of the U.S. Army Command and Staff College in 2011, COL Bradley served as the Executive Officer, 1st Battalion, 38th Infantry Regiment, 4th Stryker Brigade Combat Team at Fort Lewis, WA. He deployed as the Operations Officer, 1st Battalion, 38th Infantry Regiment, to Panjawai, Afghanistan in 2012 as part of Operation Enduring Freedom and concluded the combat tour as the Executive Officer, 4th Stryker Brigade in Kandahar, Afghanistan. COL Bradley assumed command of 1st Squadron, 7th Cavalry Regiment “Garryowen,” 1st Armored Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division at Fort Hood, TX in January 2017 and deployed the Squadron to Europe as part of Operation Atlantic Resolve in 2018. After command, he served as the 1st Cavalry Division G3 and commanded the 3rd Cavalry Regiment as its 79th Colonel from December 2020 to May 2023. In May 2023, COL Bradley deployed to Baghdad, Iraq as the Deputy Chief of Staff for Operation Inherent Resolve and the continuing defeat of ISIS. He then assumed duties as Director, Next Generation Combat Vehicles Cross Functional Team from July 2024 to June 2025 in Detroit Michigan. COL Bradley joined the 3rd Infantry Division as the Deputy Commanding Officer – Support in July 2025.
