2019 Army Funded Legal Education Program (FLEP)

The 2019 Army Funded Legal Education Program (FLEP) application window has opened and will close on Nov. 1. Every year the FLEP authorizes the selection of 25 active duty Army officers (Lieutenants or Captains) to obtain a legal education at the government's expense.
ELIGIBILITY
-Be a Regular Army officer in the Operations, Operations Support, Force Sustainment, or Health Services branches
-Be a US citizen on the Active Duty List (ADL) in the grade of O-1 to O-3 while applying and at the time of selection
-Hold a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
-Have not less than 2 years nor more than 6 years on the ADL, including prior warrant and enlisted service, as of the law school start date
-Possess at least a secret security clearance
-Not have an approved resignation or separation date
-Eligibility requirements are statutory and cannot be waived
-Eligibility is outlined in Army Regulation 27-1, Chapter 10
Applications must be submitted and accepted by HRC NLT Nov. 1. FLEP applications may be submitted without LSAT scores before the Nov. 1 application deadline, but, upon receipt, applicants must submit their scores in time for FLEP Selection Board consideration on Dec. 2.

The Soldier For Life-Transition Assistance Program will host a *How to Standout at a Career Day* on Sept. 9, in building 1378 (Graham Hall) from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. This event is designed to answer the questions. Why do I need to research a company or college? Do I really need an elevator speech? Does how I dress really impact the interview? We will also offer resume assistance for your final preparation of our annual Career and Education Fair, on September 25.

Fort Knox Women's Equality Day observance Aug. 23

The Fort Knox Women's Equality Day observance at Fort Knox is scheduled for Aug. 23 at 11:30 a.m. in Sadowski Center (6607 Wilson Road) and will be hosted by U.S. Army Recruiting Command.
This year's observance commemorates the passage of the 19th Amendment to the Constitution, which guaranteed women the right to vote. Command Sgt. Maj. Tabitha Gavia, U.S. Army Recruiting Command's senior enlisted advisor, will be the keynote speaker.
The event is open to the public. Where mission permits, Fort Knox supervisors are encouraged to allow their service members and DoD civilian employees to attend. When permission is granted, Sadowski Center will be considered the service member's and employee's place of duty. No leave will be charged for that time.

Thousands of additional personnel and visitors will be in the Fort Knox area through August as part of Cadet Summer Training missions and activities. As such, higher traffic volume is anticipated on days when CST Family Days and graduations occur on post. Everyone is asked to exercise patience and plan accordingly for longer-than-normal wait times at Fort Knox's three primary entrance gates (Chaffee (main), Wilson and Brandenburg gates).
Listed below are the scheduled CST Family Days and graduations. Those with additional questions or concerns about wait times at the gates should contact the Fort Knox Directorate of Emergency Services at (502) 624-4982.
Family Days:

CST Graduation Days:
