Suicide Prevention
Fort Jackson’s Suicide Prevention Program supports the Army’s Suicide Prevention Program. It is to mitigate suicide. We need all of our Army, Civilians and Family Members to take an active role in making a difference. Let us all connect to protect our most valued resource: the people!

Risk Factors:
Failed relationships; family hx of suicide; prior suicide attempt; poor social skills; mood disorders; drug/etoh abuse; legal (UCMJ / Non-judicial); access to lethal means;
Protective Factors:
Social relationships (family/friends/buddy); access to health care (physical/mental) coping ability; belief in a higher power/faith; participation in groups/activities; getting help when needed; personal /professional values;
