Update: The Fort Jackson ID card services will be open 1 p.m., June 24 for walk-ins only and be fully operational June 25. Retirement Services Office has temporarily relocated to DHR operations area. New Soldier in-processing briefs resume June 25.

4/5/24, 10:57 AM 4/5/24, 10:57 AM Post Telephone Service Changes Ten-digit dialing is now required when making calls from Fort Jackson telephone service. A 10-digit dialed telephone call requires entering both the three-digit area code and the seven-digit telephone number to complete the call, even if the area code is the same area code as your own, this now includes Fort Jackson to Fort Jackson calls. This is similar to making any call via cell phone.

Day one includes CG opening remarks, overview of services, breakout sessions and vendors inside the Solomon Center. Day two consists of tours of ACS, Chaplain Life Center, Armed Forces Wellness Center, MRT school house and the Drill Sergeant Timothy Kay Soldier Performance Readiness Center. A panel will speak on resiliency from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the NCO Club Ballroom. The event ends with a livestreamed talk by MG (Ret.) Gregg Martin.

5/13/22, 8:58 AM 5/13/22, 8:58 AM Full Scale Exercise Guests coming to Fort Jackson May 18 should expect longer wait times at installation activities due to a joint emergency training operation. Be advised that no one will be in immediate danger. The exercise is something the Army does periodically to ensure our people know the crisis actions steps to keep people safe. There will be increased activity of emergency response vehicles across post as the installation holds a force protection exercise involving numerous simulated casualties. We ask all guests to be patient and follow all traffic signs and lights, and commands from first responders and a voice broadcast system.

All military retirees and their guests are eligible to participate in the Captain’s Choice tournament. Enter individually or as a team of four. 4/12/22, 9:20 AM 4/12/22, 9:20 AM Earth Day 2022 Fort Jackson will be celebrating Earth Day this year by having a week-long opportunity for community members to participate in cleanups in there foot prints and neighborhoods. Community members are asked to find an opportunity to do a cleanup in an area where you live work or a public space between April 16-22 and post their photos to social media using #FJEarthDay22.

Purpose of Earth Week 2022:
•  Allows organizations time to conduct much needed area beautification
•  Instills and reaffirms pride in our community
•  Allows abandoned areas to be adopted / cleaned
•  Gives units a week long window to clean up as mission allows
•  Promotes teamwork
•  Allows family members time to participate in their neighborhoods
