Fort Jackson Emergency Weather

Per the South Carolina Emergency Management Division: Debby is expected to move very slowly over South Carolina in the next few days, leading to potentially historic heavy rainfall. Projected rainfall totals for South Carolina have increased. The current rainfall forecast through the next 7 days includes:

• Lowcountry region: 20 to 30 inches

• Grand Strand region: 10 to20 inches

• Midlands and Pee Dee regions: 8 to 15 inches

• Upstate region: 2 to 6 inches

This rainfall will result in areas of life-threatening flash and urban flooding, with significant river flooding possible later this week.

National Night Out postponed

The National Night Out event scheduled for Aug. 6 has been postponed until Oct. 1 due to inclement weather concerns.

FMWR facilities

All Directorate of Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation facilities are operating under normal hours with the exception of the golf course and aquatics due to the weather.
