CSM Garland Moore

Command Sergeant Major Garland K. Moore entered the U.S. Army on June 29, 1993, and completed Basic Combat Training at Fort Jackson, South Carolina. He attended Advanced Individual Training at Fort Lee, Virginia, where he earned the Military Occupational Specialty of Unit Supply Specialist (92Y).

Command Sergeant Major Moore’s past assignments include: 2/17 CAV, Fort Campbell, Kentucky; 56th Signal Battalion, Fort Clayton, Panama; 902D MI Group, Fort Meade, Maryland; U.S. Army NATO, SHAPE, Belgium; 513th MI Brigade, Fort Gordon, Georgia; Special Operations Command Joint Forces Command, Norfolk, VA; Transition Team# 4230, Iraq; Special Operations Command Pacific, Camp Smith, HI; HHC 88th BSB, Fort Polk, Louisiana; 1st SFOD-D, Fort Bragg, North Carolina, and GSB, 1st SFG (A), JBLM, WA.

Command Sergeant Major Moore has held various leadership positions including: Platoon Sergeant, Operations Sergeant, First Sergeant, Operations Sergeant Major, and Command Sergeant Major.

Command Sergeant Major Moore attended all levels of Professional Military Education and is a graduate of the United States Army Sergeants Major Academy. He completed the Senior Enlisted Joint Professional Military Education Level I & II, Battle Staff Noncommissioned Officer Course, Air Assault Course, Basic Airborne Course, Pathfinder Course, First Sergeant Course, Combat Skills Course, SERE School, U.S. Army Special Operations Command Pre-Command Course, Battalion Per-Command Course and the Brigade Pre-Command Course.

Command Sergeant Major Moore has a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration.

Command Sergeant Major Moore and his wife have two children.
