Fort Detrick Military Retiree Council

The purpose of the Ft. Detrick Military Retiree Council is to assist the Commander, U.S. Army Garrison (USAG) Fort Detrick and the Senior Commander, U.S. Army Medical Research and Development Command (USAMRDC) and Fort Detrick in meeting the objectives of the retirement program outlined in Chapter 4, AR 600-8-7. The retiree council aims at developing a strong communication link between the retired military community and the Active Army.

Council meetings are held on a quarterly basis and are open for all military retirees, their spouses, and widows/widowers to attend. The Council will discuss matters pertinent to retired military personnel and provide feedback as appropriate. The Military Retiree Council serves as a link between the Fort Detrick Leadership and the retired military community, family members, and surviving spouses.

If you are interested in receiving notices about council meetings and other valuable information, please send an email (click bold text) and you will be contacted and added to the email contact list. If you know of any retired military members, family members, or surviving spouses who would like to receive this newsletter, please share this email address with them so they can also sign up. Formal invitations are not required!  And, keep those retirees in mind who may not have access to a computer or email and help them out by sharing this information with them.
