R2 Performance Center

Carson R2PC_Logo_Mtn.pngThe R2 Performance Center (R2PC) is staffed by a group of professionals consisting of a performance center manager, a program manager (government adviser), a contingent of performance experts (PEs) and administrative support personnel.

PEs are contractors who have a master’s or doctoral degree with a specialized emphasis in sport and/or performance psychology. PEs can help to understand and enhance the mental side of performance, maximize the benefits of training and provide skills and techniques to develop strong teams. R2PC services are for Army active-duty Soldiers, National Guard, Army Reserve, Department of the Army civilians and Family members. Services also extend to other military branches.

Skills learned in GRIT enable Leaders to build trust with their Soldiers to have difficult conversations and gather accurate, timely information through small-group discussions and informal conversations during inspections, formations, or PT.

Intervention and Prevention

engage.pngENGAGE is a way to develop the ability and skill to intervene safely, early, and effectively when something is happening that could potentially have adverse or drastic effects.
ENGAGE Certification Course prepares participants to lead the two-hour Engage training with end users.

SP2.pngACE-SI Tier 2: Ask, Care, Escort – Suicide Intervention (ACE-SI) training is meant to reinforce key suicide intervention concepts in Army leaders who hold positions of trust to encourage subordinate trust and help-seeking behavior. PEs train Suicide Prevention Professionals to instruct leaders on how to deliver the ACE Base+ training.
