Carson Connector

The Carson Connector is a free on-demand rideshare system designed to serve military and their Family members, Department of Army civilians and contractors on Fort Carson. The minimum age for a Family member to ride alone is 12.
Operated by the City of Fountain through an Intergovernmental Support Agreement (IGSA) with Fort Carson, the service allows users to request pickups and drop-offs within approximately 100 yards of their origin and destination.
The app-based system, which mirrors those used by well-known rideshare providers, will link users to multiple 15-passenger vans which will transport riders to designated pick-up/drop-off locations throughout the Mountain Post’s cantonment area and Butts Army Heliport. The Carson Connector app includes hundreds of pre-selected pickup and drop-off points throughout Fort Carson, with a high concentration in the housing and barracks areas. The service also provides access to two off-post locations, shopping and dining at South Academy Highlands and Pikes Peak State College’s Mountain Metro transfer station.
Up to eight vans will operate daily, with one ADA-compliant van available. This van will also be designated as a “Special Use Van," which can be requested when Family members need extra support with car seats, luggage, strollers, a large amount of shopping/grocery bags, etc.
