COMMAND SERGEANT MAJOR KATRINA M. HERZFELD
Command Sergeant Major Katrina M. Herzfeld was born in Milwaukee, WI and raised in Wisconsin and Massachusetts. In 1990, she attended Basic Training at Fort Jackson, SC and Advanced Individual Training at Fort Gordon, GA. In 1991, she returned to Wisconsin as a 31L, Cable Systems Installer, having enlisted in the U.S. Army Reserve. In 1993, she enlisted active-duty as a 75D, Personnel Records Specialist.
CSM Herzfeld served as a Quality Assurance NCO; a Team Chief, Enlisted Records; NCOIC, Civilian Pass and ID; Team Chief, Enlisted Redeployment; Training NCO; NCOIC, Casualty Area Command; Administrative Assistant NCO; NCOIC, Enlisted Strength Management; Senior Personnel Sergeant; Detachment Sergeant; Operations Sergeant; First Sergeant; G1 Plans and Operations NCOIC; NCOIC, Casualty and Mortuary Affairs Branch; NCOIC, Casualty Office Support Branch; an Assistant Chief of Staff, G1 SGM, a battalion Command Sergeant Major, and an Inspector General Sergeant Major.
She was stationed with the following units: 92nd Personnel Services Company, Fort Clayton, Panama; A Detachment, 509th Personnel Services Battalion, Camp Casey, Korea; Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault), Fort Campbell, KY; Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 25th Infantry Division, Schofield Barracks, Hawaii; 509th Personnel Services Battalion, Fort Hood, TX; Division Special Troops Battalion, 1st Cavalry Division, Fort Hood, TX; U.S. Army Recruiting Command Headquarters, Fort Knox, KY; The Adjutant General Directorate, Human Resources Command, Fort Knox, KY; Headquarters and Headquarters Company, U.S. Army Training Center, Fort Jackson, SC, Special Troops Battalion, 3d Sustainment Brigade, 3d Infantry Division, Fort Stewart, GA, and U.S. Army, Japan, Camp Zama, Japan. CSM Herzfeld also deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan.

CSM Herzfeld is a graduate of Class 64, U.S. Army Sergeants Major Academy. She studied history at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. She is a previous Fort Hood Adjutant General Noncommissioned Officer of the Year and a member of the prestigious Sergeant Audie Murphy Association.
