Yvette L. Castro

Yvette L. Castro became the deputy garrison manager at Brussels for U.S. Army Garrison Benelux in May 2023. Before her current assignment, she served as the deputy to the garrison commander for USAG Fort Buchanan, Puerto Rico.
Castro has previously served in two garrison director positions: the director of Family, Morale, Welfare and Recreation (DFMWR), USAG Fort Buchanan, and the director of Human Resources (DHR), USAG Benelux. While previously at USAG Benelux, she oversaw DHR services at three installations and three Army Preposition Stock sites in Belgium, the Netherlands and Germany. In 2019, Castro served consecutively as the deputy garrison manager for the USAG Benelux-Schinnen Community, the Netherlands, and the deputy garrison manager for the USAG Benelux-Brussels Community.
Castro is a graduate of the University of East Anglia in Norwich, England, where she gained her L.L.B, Bachelor of Law. Her postgraduate law degree was awarded by the University of London, Inns of Court School of Law, England. She is also a graduate of the Army Management Staff College Advanced Course and the Installation Management Command (IMCOM) Emerging Enterprise Leader's Program.
